Over 600 teams all across the globe competed in one of the biggest youth basketball events on the west coast for the summer of 2018. The Wildcats were able to capture runner up coming up short by only 2 points in the championship game. “The players were able to grow a lot from this experience.” Ken Wright said after they captured the finalist awards in the tournament. Ken was pleased with the effort his team put forth in the tournament and said,”We are constantly looking for ways to grow not only our basketball skill set and experience, but also our mental toughness and team chemistry. With this tournament we were able to attain all of these elements.” The team had a hard fought semifinals game and advanced to the championship game with the late game heroics of Brandon Kuy making a 15 foot jumper from the left corner of the key as time elapsed and the final buzzer sounded.
